Wai Yin Chinese Women Society
We are a registered charity led by a volunteer Board of Trustees made up of Chinese women from across Greater Manchester. We employ approximately 35 full-time and part-time staff across our projects with an additional 30+ sessional and contract based staff. We also have over 35 active volunteers supporting all aspects of our work.
Our organisation is fortunate to have an extremely motivated and well-educated staff and volunteer work force and the organisation’s commitment to their development is recognised by our Investors in People Quality Mark.
Wai Yin has the expertise to offer culturally appropriate and bilingual services (including bilingual ICT facilities). We are also able to provide crèche and dependent care support for those with care responsibilities. This is critical in enabling many isolated Chinese women and unemployed Chinese adults with language barriers to access support, guidance, training and employment.
Whilst our services are targeted at the Chinese community, we welcome people of all communities to become our service users, volunteers and staff.
Rooms are available for hire at our main headquarters.
Rates are as follows:
Half day |
250 GBP |
Whole day |
500 GBP |
Equipment hire (laptops, projector, etc), Internet access and refreshments are included in the room hire costs. Please speak to our staff for more information or to enquire if the information you need is available. If we need to hire additional equipment, we will inform you in advance and invoice you the appropriate rental costs.
Chinese lunch is available at an additional cost of 6 GBP per person. Vegetarian and Halal options are available. Please inform our staff when booking lunch of any dietary requirements you may have.
